What is Testosterone?

Testosterone is a sex hormone produced by the testes that stimulates the development of male sexual characteristics, such as the penis and testes, muscle size, vocal cords and bones, pubic hair, facial hair and the Adam’s apple. Production of testosterone in the testes is controlled by the brain and pituitary gland.
